Easy Spanish Rice

Ingredients:

1 cup white rice (I like to use jasmine rice for the flavor)

1/2 yellow onion (chopped)

1 garlic clove (minced)

1 8 oz can of tomato sauce

1 1/2 cups water

1 Tbs olive oil

Directions:

1. Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium heat. Stir in onion and cook until soft about 5 min.

2. Stir in rice and cook until browned about 5 min.

3. Stir in garlic, tomato sauce and water, bring to a boil. Stir and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 20 min.
